Brief Bio
In my role as core MPH faculty, I teach the required Introductory Biostatistics and Capstone II courses, and I also enjoy mentoring students on their course planning and Capstone projects. My research, which places a key emphasis on social determinants of health, focuses on adolescent relationship violence, childhood trauma, intimate partner violence, reproductive health behaviors and outcomes, and access to health care in populations that have been historically minoritized. I have expertise in a range of epidemiologic methods, including quantitative design and population-based analyses as well as qualitative and mixed-methods approaches. One of my favorite aspects of our program is that it includes a wide network of deeply committed public health professionals which facilitates interdisciplinary collaborations and fosters creative solutions to address complex issues.
