Brief Bio
As a Senior Research Investigator with the Penn Injury Science Center (PISC) and the Philadelphia Department of Public Health’s Injury Prevention Program, I plan, manage and implement injury prevention research and evaluation activities. My work employs mixed methods, community engaged approaches and epidemiological study designs examine and address the influence of neighborhood factors on community well-being, health, and safety. I collaborate with experts both locally and across the country to produce actionable research to reduce violence and gun violence, specifically. I believe that the best way to create safe spaces where all people can thrive is by producing high-quality community engaged research, nurturing and supporting the next generation of scientists and practitioners and ensuring that those individuals reflect and represent the communities we serve.
